Media & Communication Team

To give parents and the wider community a better understanding of what Scouting provides to local young people and to keep people informed of opportunities to support the Scout Group.

(This role can be undertaken by one person, or multiple people taking on individual parts)

Description:

Maintaining and updating the group website and other new media sources e.g. Facebook and Twitter

Provide publicity for the Group through all media types through regular press releases on group activities to local media and with District And County teams

Assisting with the promotion of Scouting at local events.

Create and distribute regular emails to our stakeholders.

Any additional responsibilities will be agreed with the Group Scout Leader and other members of the Leadership Team.

Hours:

Flexible - 1 to 2 hours a month when suits and/or when needed
