About our Group

Founded in 1908, Longford Scout Group has been part of the Stretford community for over a century, helping young people grow in confidence and develop skills for life.

We meet at The Ranche in Longford Park. Each week our young people come together for fun, friendship and challenge. We run lively weekly meetings, local adventures and regular camps that build memories for life.

Our sections are Squirrels (4-6), Beavers (6-8), Cubs (8-10), Scouts (10-14) and Explorers (14-18). Every section offers a safe, supportive place to learn by doing, work as a team and think for themselves.

We are an inclusive and welcoming group. We bring people together from all backgrounds and celebrate what makes each person unique. One group, one family, one adventure.

We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Through teamwork, leadership and resilience they gain skills that help them thrive at school, at home and in the wider world.

If your child wants to join the adventure, or if you are an adult who would like to volunteer and make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
