As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life.

We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more.

Each week, we give our young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts across the world become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.

We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

We are an active Scout Group who meet at the Ranche in Longford Park in Stretford - Manchester and have been established since 1908. Our group is made up of Beavers (6 to 8), Cubs (8 to 10), Scouts (10 to 14) and Explorers (14 to 18). For more information about the sections and our Scout Group please explore our website.

Longford Scout Group aims to offer challenge and adventure to all its members. We believe in helping our young people fulfill their potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves.

We’re working to make Scouting available to all and we’re passionate about what we do. Scouting is an incredible success story. It satisfies a need, it appeals to young boys and girls of all ages, and it has the support of the community. Its success continues because it is flexible and can be adapted to the changing needs and aspirations of young people.

If your child wants to join the adventure, or if you would like more information please don't hesitate to contact us.
