And we are back !
This week at explorers they have been Bouldering with classic games such as twister! The explorers named the game "blister twister" using a combination of strategy, coordination and their climbing skills to be the last one climbing! Good job explorers!
D of E training
On Saturday we gathered under the gazebo to refresh on our D of E knowledge. We practiced using compasses map reading as well as creating route cards on the eDofE website ready for our expeditions.
Bingo and Soap Carving
We started the meeting off with a few exiting rounds of bingo! Ratty’s favourite number name being ‘fat lady with a cane’. After this, we relaxed with a satisfying activity of soap carving. Our challenge was to carve out a symbol that you’d find on a map and to guess what others had made.
Magic Show!
This week we were joined by a member of The Magic Circle who performed a show for us! In one trick he read minds, guessing words people were thinking of and names of films. In another, he turned a glass full of water upside down without anything spilling. When Sophie tried it over Scully’s head... it did not work!
He also revealed how to do a couple of magic tricks with cards, which we all tried out at home.

This week we took on the task of finding ‘Mr X’! Using clues, we searched the internet and scoured the streets on Google maps to piece together information to solve the puzzle and uncode Mr X’s last name...
