The programme for this week was “Insect Hotel”. The Beavers were all given a small empty milk carton, which they would be able to decorate and make waterproof when they got home. The first thing they had to do was to cut a ‘door’ on one side of the carton. This was then filled with pieces of bamboo and pine cones. The carton was then sealed and a string put on the top, so that it could be hung in the garden. This would then encourage the insects to crawl into the ‘hotel’. We look forward to seeing some photographs of the various insects that inhabit the boxes.
Well done to William on achieving his Swimmer Stage 1 badge, also a badge for attending for 12 months. Edwin also received his 12 month badge.
