This week both Colonies have been trying their hands at what is, to most of them, a new sport – Bouldering. Both on the Tuesday and Wednesday meetings the Colony was split in two with one group going to the Annex where the two Peters and one of the Beaver Section Assistants were supervising the Beavers trying to climb up and down as well as around the artificial rock face. The rest of the Colony were completing what is a new Beaver Activity Badge, Cyclist. I only found out about the badge on Sunday and when I read the requirements I realised that it was a badge that most of the Beavers could gain as it was only a few weeks ago that we went for a cycle ride round the Park. We had planned the cycling long before I knew of the badge. One of the Assistant Beaver Leaders went through the requirements with the Beavers. Forty badges are now on order.
