Fortunately the weather was warm and dry on both nights when some 20+ Beavers each night with a good number of parents cycled round the network of paths between Hawthorn Road/Lane and the River Mersey having set off from Turn Moss Car Park. This was a District organised activity with St Matthews Beavers going round the opposite way to us on the Tuesday and Quest doing that on Wed. Gorse Hill did their own thing on Wed so we did not pass them. This is all part of the Cyclist Activity Badge. We will be asking about safety considerations and can they use a tyre pump to complete the badge. As an add on a good sum of money was raised to help with safety at Pets Corner in Longford Park. Thank you to the parents who helped shepherd the Beavers round the course.
