This week the Beavers completed the second part of the Faith Activity Badge which involved a visit to a Place of Worship. In this case we chose a place where there is a newish Scout Group connected to it. This is Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple pn Stretford Rd., Old Trafford. We were met by one of the Cub Leaders of their Scout Group. They don’t have Beavers, yet. He took us into their Library and explained how Buddhism came about. Then followed a look round other parts of the building including the main prayer area which is magnificent. Thank you to our hosts for explaining Buddhism and showing us round.
