Archery – Either side of lockdown
Making use of the new and improved area outside the ranche, we were able to run archery sessions on site, despite the inconvenience of the four-week lockdown! As well as the restrictions, the scouts also braved the wind, rain and cold to hone their bow skills.
After a few rounds of practice, we played games like archery cricket and aiming at balloons. A few eagle-eyed archers even shot the top prize (haribo)!
Safety first:
Throughout the archery sessions, social distancing was followed by both scouts and leaders. All equipment was regularly sanitised to ensure both a fun and safe time was had by all.
With the November lockdown and the bleak Mancunian weather disrupting things, it was great to see so many scouts down at the ranche when we were allowed to continue face to face scouting.
