This week Scouts took part in a ‘map-tacular’ navigation week! As virtual Scouting slowly draws to a close, and we’re soon to be allowed back to face-to-face Scouting, we decided to dig the dusty maps out of Mr Nick’s wardrobe and brush up on our outdoor navigation skills.
After being challenged by 4 and 6 figure grid references, Scouts attempted to plot their own mini maps which created a secret image! Scouts were also challenged by a classic game of OS Map Bingo! Congrats to the winners, but it certainly was a close one.
After today’s session we can truly say that all Scouts put an effort in and have honed their skills in preparation for future Scout evenings and camps.
