This week the Beavers were making Bird Feeders. They did this by covering the outside of the cardboard tube from a toilet roll with peanut butter. This was then rolled in a tray filled with bird seed. Rolling the tub helped to ensure that the tube had a good covering of seed. A length of string was then fed through the tube and tied. The finished feeder could then be taken home and hung somewhere which would not be accessible to cats but preferably could be seen from a window so that the Beavers could see what birds were feeding from it.
