This meeting gave the Monday Beavers a chance to grow the tallest sunflower plant of the Section. In Lodges they planted a sunflower seed in a pot to take home and plant in a suitable place at home and to look after it until the summer when it will be determined who has grown the tallest plant. The Beavers also played games including Circular Skipping when a rope was swung round and the Beavers round the circle had to jump over the rope as it passed them. If they failed then they were “out”. The last person standing was the winner. Triangular Tug of War was another favourite played when 3 Beavers of a similar size had to pull against each other to grab a skittle behind themselves.
