Scouts recently enjoyed a relaxed evening hike around Turn Moss and along the River Mersey – a great chance to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and explore a local green space together.
Setting off in the early evening, the group followed well-used paths through Turn Moss, taking in the wide open fields and spotting signs of spring along the way.
The route continued along the Mersey, with the light holding just long enough to appreciate the riverside views and peaceful atmosphere. The weather stayed dry and mild, making for a really pleasant walk without the need for torches.
The hike wasn’t just about getting from A to B – it was a reminder of how much nature and open space is right on our doorstep, and how easy it can be to enjoy it together.
