As part of their work towards the World Impact badge, Scouts took a closer look at Poland – the host country for the next World Scout Jamboree.
The evening included a mix of activities designed to explore Polish culture, language, and traditions. Scouts took part in a quiz to test their knowledge about Poland’s geography, history, and customs – with a few tricky questions thrown in to keep everyone on their toes.
They also had a go at learning some basic Polish phrases, practising greetings and common words used in everyday conversation. It was a fun way to get a taste of the language and understand more about communicating across cultures.
To finish the session, Scouts rolled up their sleeves in the kitchen to make traditional Polish pierogi. These filled dumplings were handmade and cooked on-site – and proved to be a big hit all round.
The activity was a great opportunity to learn more about another country, reflect on global Scouting, and get excited about the international connections that Scouting can offer.
