At a recent Thursday Scouts meeting, the group engaged in a hands-on activity by constructing trebuchets from lolly sticks, using hot glue guns for assembly. The building phase was followed by a testing session where scouts worked in teams to launch projectiles, aiming to achieve the longest distance possible.Further improvements were made to their trebuchet designs as the session progressed. Each team repeatedly adjusted and refined their mechanisms, based on the performance outcomes observed during the trials. This iterative process helped the groups understand fundamental principles of engineering and mechanics through practical application.
