In their latest session, the Thursday Scouts took part in an orienteering activity around Longford Park. The group focused on finding various waypoints throughout the park using maps and compasses. Each Scout was responsible for navigating to these points and recording the markers they found at each location.The activity required the Scouts to apply their navigation skills and work as a team to ensure all waypoints were located and markers correctly recorded. This exercise allowed members to practically apply map reading techniques in a real-world setting, honing their orienteering abilities.
