Last Thursday, the Scouts session focused on pioneering skills, with an engaging activity that tested both their creativity and technical knowledge. The group worked in teams to build catapults and trebuchets using the knots they'd been practising over the past few weeks. Once constructed, these were used in a challenge to fling wet sponges at a series of targets. The activity not only helped the Scouts reinforce their knot-tying skills but also gave them a hands-on experience in constructing working models from basic materials. The session ended with an exciting display of each team’s catapult and trebuchet, demonstrating the practical applications of their pioneering techniques.
