During our recent Saturday Beavers session, the young members engaged with the local community by learning the Green Cross Code. The emphasis was on practical tips to ensure safety while crossing streets. This included identifying safe places to cross, understanding traffic lights and pedestrian signals, and the importance of staying alert and cautious at all times.Following the road safety education, the Beavers took part in a community litter pick in the nearby park. Equipped with gloves and rubbish bags, they worked together to collect and properly dispose of litter scattered around the area. This activity not only helped clean up the environment but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards maintaining public spaces.
