Last week the Saturday Scouts started some Pioneering, learning about to care for their ropes and how to treat their end of their ropes, practising whipping. They then revised their lashings in preparation for a pioneering project after half term.
Today our session focused on the holy month of Dhul Hijjah, when the hajj pilgrimage takes place. The Scouts discussed the important lessons of equality, humility and patience during hardship, before having some fun doing a tawaf relay race with quiz, sa'i i obstacle course with water representing Zamzam, then ended the session with sharing their personal prayers for the day of Arafah, one of the most holy days in the Islamic year.
We wish everyone a happy half term and Eid!
