The Saturday Scouts had an exciting weekend joining up with another local group, 23rd Stretford, camping over the week at Bispham Hall to partake in our first chariot race.

We've been busy for the last few weeks building our chariot, voting for our team, naming them and practising our strategies.

The challenging course puts them and their chariot to the test, needing teamwork and resilience above all else to navigate a tricky maze, climbing over obstacles, getting through thick mud and wading through a pond.

The chariot team really took the challenge seriously, pushing themselves to their max and beautifully supported by the rest of the Saturday Scouts section some of whom had spent the week designing banners to cheer them all. Seeing them buy gifts from the tuck shop for the chariot team was the icing on the cake, exemplifying their care and thoughtfulness.

All their hard work paid off, getting them into 3rd place!

A wonderful and memorable weekend for the Saturday Scouts.
