Having covered a balloon in papier-mache last week; this week it was time to decorate the mask. During the week the papier-mache covered balloon had been painted in matt emulsion and once that had dried the balloon was popped and cut in half. The Beavers set to with crayons and felt tipped pens to decorate the face shaped shell. Once decorated they were brought to a Leader for eyes and mouth to be cut out. Although fragile they all survived long enough to be taken home.
