This week we were doing activities that would lead to the gaining of this badge. First of all we asked about what was a disability. There are the obvious ones but some people who have a disability do not have any obvious signs. We then went onto finger spelling so that if you can finger spell you can communicate with a deaf person. From one means of communicating we went onto another, braille. We gave them the braille alphabet and some braille messages and asked them to work out the message. Lastly we played a game where the Beavers had to guide a “blind” person round some obstacles.
