The final activity in our rotation of 3 was navigation and compass skills.
The Scouts headed out onto Longford park with a compass and a sheet with bearings and paces on.
They learnt how to read a bearing and set their compasses so they can travel in the correct direction and worked out followed how many paces there were to there next location. At each stop they had to find a clue which helped spell a word and then repeat the process of setting their bearings again and pacing out to the next stop.
