The Saturday Scouts were tasked with helping to plan their upcoming camp and came up with the idea of having a fundraiser event to raise money towards the cost of extra activities. The patrols planned what they wanted to sell and then got to work.
We were blessed with good weather and their array of skills brought joy to Longford park in the form of croissants topped with sauces, cookies, sweets, cakes, samosas and pakoras, hand knitted keyrings and bracelets, craft activities and of course, the obligatory wintery hot chocolate and drinks!
Thank you to the passers by for their kind words and support, and to all the parents who let the Scouts take over their kitchens. We're super proud of our budding entrepreneurs. Well done on your hard work and enthusiasm- they smashed their target!
